Are you looking to get one? I talked to Steve Herrala of Sound Video http://www.soundvideo.com/ who said he ownes Gemstone when I was looking to get an amp. He also is a dealer/installer of other high-end products one of which is Sherbourn and that is what he recommended with some tech. reasons why the Sherbourn had a better advantages.

    Quoted from the website:

    "Introductory Special:
Offer limited to the 1st Batch of 200 Blue Diamond Amplifiers
    $2499 (200 watt x7)
    $1999 (200 watt x5)
    Trade-ins are Welcome!
For further details and ordering -- Please call 763-753-5700"

Offer limited to the 1st Batch of 200...??? I don't know, but personally, I would never spend that kind of money on a product from a company that no one has ever heard of, and possibly get one of the first 200 units shipped. Could be a huge pain in the arse. You never know what might go wrong with such an early production unit, and who knows how that companies customer service is going to be.

    I'd pass on this one.

Call Greg at http://www.soundadvicestereo.com/index3.html , He will point you in the right direction I'm sure and will give you good advice for an amp. I ordered from him and his prices are untouchable (I promise) he is an Adcom, Sherbourn and others authorized dealer (I called the Co.'s and asked to make sure). I wasn't home for todays delivery of the amp but will make sure someone will be tomarrow. He is very nice to do business with and will answer your questions and will not push to make a quick sale.

    Dave,

Find this odd that he would recommand Amp B over is Amp A, is was the Sherbourn amp that got me interested in Gemstone. Overall I was 30/70% on this amp. I liked the specs on this amp but don't like the poor internal photo, and lack of circuit details. Then you have lack of reviews, newest of company and above the owner recommands amp B over his own.

    Big turn off.

If the owner didn't think that his amp was the best for a particular buyer's needs, he acted appropriately in recommending something else. A lot of sellers would not have that kind in integrity.
