Thanks in advance for any help. Just purchased the PSW12 today. Had to replace a Jbl pb12. I have an Onyko 601 receiver. Just wondering whats recommended a hook up to the LFE or line inputs with splitter.

Thanks

    LFE.

    On receiver:
Set speakers to small, x-over at 80Hz.

You should try both ways and see what sounds best to you cochise.

I don't know how anyone can tell you set your speakers to small, without even knowing what you have.

    Cheers,

    thanks russ,

I have JBL satellites(mounted on walls) and a Onkyo 601. I had a JBL pb12 that gave up the ghost (believe the internal amp was culprit) i replaced it with the psw12 . The satellites are JBL northridge series N24's. I have four n24's front left and right and left and right surround and a northridge series center channel.

Any additional info is much appreciated.

P.s. The onkyo is capable of running a surround back speaker (6.1) will i gain by adding the additional speaker.

    thanks

    Welcome, bny...

Most likely with satellites "small" is the way to go, but trying both is easy. You should go through calibration for both though, and that'll take a little time.

Adding a rear center will fill in your HT's sound field, and there are a few DVD's with separate rear effects info and many, many more to come...
    More later,
