    SACD crosses 3,000 title mark.

As of this post, 3,006 SACD titles listed. May still be coming out this year....the Moody Blues, Genesis, Pink Floyd.

BTW, you want Norah Jones SACD? Not listed at sa-cd.net and unconfirmed....yet.

    well that's good news.

I know Nickel Creek's in the studio on their 3rd album- hopefully they'll put it out on SACD like they're previous 2.

It's good to know that some people besides me will actually shell out $15/16 dollars for the extra sound quality.

I make it a point to not buy CD's anymore- if i can help it.

Used Lp's and SACD is pretty much it for me.

I just received the Peter Malick Group with Norah Jones SACD today. Shipping took just over one week from Hong Kong, pretty damn good I'd say.

I love this disc, every song is in the groove and the sound quality is excellent. The only down side is it's only 30 minutes long and the last song is a remix of the first. Still I highly recommend it!

    F1,

I totally agree with you on the Peter Malick /Norah Jones SACD. I received it about 4 days ago and give it a listen that night. Wonderful groove on each track and Norah Jones is surprisingly good at singing these bluesy tunes. Peter Malick's guitar playing sort of reminds me of Mark Knopfler's. I compared the song "Deceptively Yours" between SACD and the CD layers, and no comparison....the SACD layer is quite an improvement. Highly recommended!

Here's the story on this SACD at highfidelityreview.com.

Agreed on both comments. I actually think she's better singing the blues than her other work.

I am not suprised that Norah can sing the blues. Afterall, she can say light bulb and make it sound sexy!! The Nearness of You is written in the Key of C, basic blues looks like Ionian or maybe Lydian mode. I really do think she does well with blues/jazz.
