    Svetlana, now somewhere near the East Coast, manufactures the 3CX300A1 ceramic triode that has found popularity among audiophiles looking for the correct amount of overhead to afford the dynamic range digital recordings demand of sound systems.

    If one is clever with the use of blower-type fans and high plate voltages on the anodes of tubes, ( the 3CX300A1 uses 1,000 volts on the anode), the ceramic tube series offers quite the
    pristine tube environment.

    Yeah, Svetlana was purchased, lock, stock and barrel by a U.S. company somewhere on the East Coast.

    Nothing's being made in Russia anymore and their complete inventory of mil-surplus was bought.

    Yes, but the "Winged C" tubes are still available from Antique Electronics Supply and other fine retailers :-)
