Well I took a Pontiac G6 out today. I was suprised how much I liked it, except the seats. The Acura TSX and the Pontiac G6 have these seats that try to fit around your torso a bit, but for me, they just stab me in the ribs! Damn, I probalby would have bought the GTP version when it comes out next summer if it wasn't for those seats! Oh and that new sunroof they have, very nice! I guess I'm too big for smaller cars.

Anyway, Subura didn't have any automatic WRXs for me to try (I have never driven a stick and they were not about to let me learn on those WRXs). I was told to at least test drive one as they are a blast to drive. I didn't like the legacy, so I didn't take one out.

I'm going to take a new Mustang out when they show up, just for kicks. I'm not big on high insurance payments, but a 300 hp V8 for $25k sounds pretty nice.

So other than really bad road noise on the Altima, I like it. But I can't see me plunking down 28k for a car with that kind of road noise issues.

Have you checked out the other Nissan product, Infiniti G35? It has been a success in many magazine tests, dethroning the longtime champ BMW 3-series (330Ci & 325) in many of them.

Not sure about the coupe but the sedan should be in your pricerange. I checked the MSRP and the coupe should be in there as well if you're good at bargaining. G35C is also available in 6 speed manual, if you're after a sporty ride.

I'm going to check out an accord soon. I just found out we get a discount at a local dealer near where I work. So now honda, and toyota are in the mix.

The Infinti is nice, but I built one I like at 35k, a bit too high. Plus the gas milage is a little lower than what I'd like. I always thought those G35 coupes were 40k + for some reason. I might take one out just for kicks though.

Thanks for all the advice, this is getting to be time consuming, but fun at the same time.

Check out the Saab 9-3, just rated one of the safest cars on the road for side impacts by Insurance safety institute.

And if you're willing to check out used cars, check out a certified pre-owned Saab 9-5 Aero. With a certified pre-owed Saab you get a warranty for 6 years or 100K miles from the original purchase date. They're a ton of fun to drive with the turbo. I drove a few when I was looking for cars a few months ago.

the V6 Honda was nice too. Plenty of power there.

Well I found out Altima SE-R's are out. It may be a long time before a dealer around me has one, but my friend in chicago lives 1/2 a mile from a dealer that has two. So I'm going to check it out if I get a chance. I could always use second skin if the road noise bothers me.

Honda has a hybrid accord with a 255hp motor which I'd like to check out as well. It isn't out yet though and I'm not to wild over the accord.

Otherwise I'm fresh out of options. The only cars I really like the interior and exterior are the Altima or ones I can't afford. I liked the G6 look but they start at 32k and go up (I like options, and that puts the G6 out of my reach).

I was just in the market for another car. I drove so many cars.

Nissan I have owned 2, a Maxima se and a Xterra xe 4x4. Both vechicles had no problems at all. I'm considering getting into the Murano SE in a few months. Trading in the Xterra for it.

We own 2 vechicles and one will most likely alwas be a nissan. I wouldn't buy american as all the american cars I have ever owned I had to do mad amount of work to them to keep em on the road.

I also own a BMW which is by far the funest car I have ever owned. If your looking at the Altima, check out a 325i or 330i. The Acura TL and Lexus IS300. Should be fun test driving as I had a blast.

I'll have to check out the BMWs. I took an Acura TL out and yes, that is a fun car. But I hear the Acura TSX and TL have major rattle issues about 500 - 1000 miles in.

I can beat that! Who wanna exhaust manifold spl contest LOL. I'll use my 1987 caravan hahaha its already set up with holes. Caution SPL meter may be melted if placed too close to the exaust. I wonder how much spl can be achieved directly from the manifold hole at the rev limit.

Remember that mine was measured with a fully working exhaust with no other holes in it than the escape port. Still think you can beat that at 1m? ;)

Granted it idles very loud due to the cams, it gets much better after 4000rpms.

It sets off alarms on a cold winter day in the parking lot idling to warm up at around 3500rpm cause its carburated mitsu engine and all the noise actually comes from the front but im pretty sure it would beat 105db. I actually passed the emissions test. There was limit of 3000 on some CO2 test and i got 2999 or somthing like that. now i can put a driveclean sticker on it.

I struggle with this sometimes. But I can't find an American car I like in my price range. There really is only GM and Ford left as Chrysler is German owned now. I do not like ANY Ford cars and GM does't have much either. If GM wouldn't have had seats only skinny people can fit in for the G6 I would probalby buy one. They also should have added the HUD as an option. I'd miss mine if I switch from Pontiacs.
