Tweeter Home Ent. - Question
Quick Question - Why has Tweeter not updated their web site with Polk's product line? Per Polk's web-site, a press release was sent out in May stating this great partnership - but it seems to be a bit one sided...
At first I thought Tweeter was allowing CC time to liquidate Polk inventories so they didn't have to compete on price before they included Polk product on the web... but it's been close to five months now and still not a mention of selling Polk product. The CC stores in my area don't have much if any Polk left in stock. Is Tweeter going to carry Polk for the long hall?
Thanks

Many of Tweeter's products are carried under a contractual agreement that they not be sold online through the online store so that the speaker companies can better control and guage thier distribution.
If Tweeter is in California selling Polk Speakers online for a cost 400 below what most other people in Pennsylvania are paying then Polk could end up losing thier distributers and retailers in Pennsylvania because the California based Tweeter is saturating a market with a low demand product that has an even lower price.
It sucks for consumers but in the long run it is better for fair business practices and both the manufacturer and the distributor/retailers as a whole.
BTW, Tweeter does list the Polk Audio speakers online but like many speakers they carry, they are not for sale online.Expert Moron Extraordinaire
You're just jealous 'cause the voices don't talk to you! -
I just left Tweeter in Fairfax, VA, with some Polk RT4s, the matching RT center, and the Yamaha RX-V1400. The RT4s were $210, the center was $200, and the RX-V1400 was $650 after a little dealing.
Very pleased with the service. I wouldn't have consdered shopping there, but it was hot as hell and the Air Conditioner on my motorcycle went on the blitz in traffic right in front of the store.

My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
Glad to hear someone is happy with their local Tweeter store .The Tweeter in Temecula Calif is terrible . They do not have ANY Polk goodies and a VERY limited suppy of anything else besides a few Martin Logan's laying around .
Before I even moved to this area (Temecula) , this same Tweeter store has been pretty darn bare for years .
I would really like to look into purchasing some Lsi's or FXi's sometime in the near future , but have no way to audition them or purchase them locally .
Tweeter's online web site has more of a selection then my local Temecula store (thats sad) .
