well i dont have my car anymore, so im still trying to sell my current/old set-up, i barely even used it, the oldest thing in there were the 6x9's, which were from maybe april/may? maybe a little earlier. what kind of component set would be able to keep up with them though?

    something loud... say mm6?

you'd probably need 2 sets of something like focal (xcept k2 power seris) to keep up with the sheer volume of a sub that powerful

loud is good, i would hope. i wanna hear the mm6. i have yet to, id also like to hear some other high/higher quality components. I could get mb quart pretty cheap, im not sure what else, i have to see what else they carry right now, but theyre in jersey, im not. id like to hear how well the diamonds cody got can keep up, but that requires waiting for his brahmas to come in.

im looking to do a lot this summer, a pickup, extended cab, take out the rear seats, and do a full custom interior and stereo install. so maybe 2 brahma 12's, 900 watts each. then i need to find components to keep up, no rear speakers. and im not sure if i would use the head unit i had, the deh-960, the p8, or the av-nic1, their nav/dvd system. probably the 960 though, more in my price range, and i loved the damn thing.

it's what was on there before you started that's the issue :D

and you are gonna have to get at least 2 component sets, pretty much no matter what you get, you do realize that...?

same for you, joel, only you have the small mercy of a trunk wall to protect you from the abuse...

hey cody, did you get the brahmas in yet?

of course that's gonna be the amp :) i would personally do the 3 ways, if only to get the midbass of a dedicated driver w/o losing the smoothness of a great midrange like those... but that's just me...

i'll just be running focal utopia's bi-amped off of a 75x4 tube amp (US Amps TU-4360).... I might wind up getting another amp and adding a midbass too... idk yet... i'd have to make my own kick pannels and i have a feeling that that'd be a pain since my kick panel piece goes all the way down the side of my door.....
