    wend you trun up your volume pass 95 dbs the amp will start to clip the distortion from cliping will hurt your ears worse than the higher dbs so if you want to run at higher volumes get better amps that have move clean power for less distortion, the high distortion at high volumes is what hurts the most. thanks, joe

    Brought out the SPL meter and on average I was at 95db with peeks at 104+. It was exellent. Wanted to go more, but didn't want to strain the Marantz. I need more power.

    I agree.. the Marantz receivers sound full and warm.. but lack (at least mine) some power. :p
