composite - because it breaks down the signal to video and audio

theoretically the composite will have better picture, but I doubt you'll notice any difference depending on your TV and what you're watching...

Composite is definitely better than coax.

    What's a VCR though?

This is just an opinion, but when I was at a hotel and had my PS2, I used the cable connection, then later realized the TV had composite. There was a BIG difference IMO. One game I couldn't play because the dark areas (I was in a tunnel) were impossible to decipher anything. With the composite, I noticed there was actually walls and detail to those walls.

I can definitely see that with video game systems becuase you have to go through some kind of RF adapter to get a coax signal...the systems are inherently composite...so yeah I can see going through an extra adapter would make a difference...

I don't think the difference would be as big with a VCR though...I could be wrong...

depends on the S-Video upconverting capabilities of your receiver...or if it will even pass the composite through the S-Video out...

    Definitely worht a try...

Anytime you have a conversion, there's usually going to be a downgrade. I'd just run composite still.
