MBQuart and SVS, same factory?

Yep, I'm bored, just stumbled across this and noticed the similarities.

    SV subs doesnt make their own drivers. They contract out to TC sounds. So, it is quite possible that TC also makes that MB woofer.

    Edit: actually the only thing that looks similar is the basket, which appears to be a stock unit, Adire Audio also uses it here and I recognize it from the the old Blueprint drivers and a few others as well. It is probably just a coincidence.

    yeah the magnet looks totley different and you dont see the cone or suround. also the specks of the mb i bet has a higher fs and a lower x max

    The MBQuart has a rubber boot around it.

    The ISD used by SVS is not made by TC Sounds. The dB-12 and the TV-12 are.

    It could have been made at the same factory, or just have a similar basket.

    I know some Adire prototype drivers that Bassmax was testing had close, if not the same basket also.

    MBQuart is a reputable company in the car audio realm too.

    That is a popular basket design for 12" woofers.

    But the VC, magnet, former, spiders, tinsel leads, cone, and surround are exclusive for the SVS ISD and won't be found in any other driver.

    The SVS also looks identical to Kove subs (car stuff).
