Although the new forum has a lot of features the old one didn't, the old one had "charactor", a personality. To ME... this one has no appeal and the personality of a hospital room.

    Out of curiosity...
Did either one of you know the old forum?
The crazy yellow/gray/blue forum with those long pages.
I remember I browsed several times back then, but never posted.
I don't think my dad even posted (he is Dthomps)

For a long time on this forum I read, but didn't post- not because of the flames I saw but the flames I was used to (some other boards can be REALLY rough)
All in all, I like Club Polk. Good group of guys that offer great advice and for the most part try to help eachother out.
    Take care.

Well ah...no, I didn't get to experience the "classic" club polk. Are there any forums around that are based on the same code?

Bob McGowan and his brother Mike were some of the first people I met on this forum. Both super knowledgeable regarding Polk SDA, they started the Polk SDA website at Excite or Yahoo. Couldn't hope to meet nicer guys.

Some of the other original names I remember were John Strong (still here), Frederick Falk (The Gill Man), Ian from Canada (Frozen Willie), John Bonnaci, and that's about it. That would have been the 1999-2000 time frame if I remember correctly. There were a couple others, but they were not nice people.

He didn't forget. (snake that is)

I'm thinking George and the boys wandered in earlier, I popped my head in late 98, and they were in full swing.

    Cheers,

I don't remember you or Troy for that matter way back when......it was a totally differnet crowd. It would have been cool if Polk would have kept all those old posts back then.......

When they re did the forum in I believe it was 2001,all the older posts went away and a new forum was built....I don't know if that is the correct year.

I joined this forum in 1999 I believe it was..I just bought my rt1000p's and the yellow card signed you up for the forum.....

I joined up in late 99, however, I didn't actually post until sometime in 2000.....They swapped to the new format in July of 2001 if I'm not mistaken. The other thing is that everyones 'handles' changed. I think Russ and I were the first ones to post on the new format.
