One of the smoothest CD Players you'll ever listen to. I owned the CDX-910U and still regret ever selling it, and it's a step below this one. The DAC's in this thing do justice to the most hideous cd's...
No affil.

My point exactly, it's a heck of a buy...well, so far. Got to remember this CD player is 1989'ish vintage I think.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

The Yamaha CD players from that time were great machines. I have one CDX-1100U and three of the later model CDX-1110U.
The main differences between the CDX-1100U and the CDX-1110U was (1) the CDX-1110U had upgraded DACs (8X oversampling compared to the CDX-1100U's 4X oversampling), and (2) the CDX-1110U added an optical digital output.
For those who are interested in this player, the eBay ad says that this is a 8X oversampling machine, but it is actually 4X (quadruple) oversampling. This is a solid, heavy metal player. The CDX-1100U weighs over 30 pounds.Proud and loyal citizen of the Digital Domain and Solid State Country!
