Sda Srs 2.3TL right channel tweeter array

Last year I purchased a pair of the 2.3TL from an individual. Over the last year the right channel Tweeter array is noticably louder. I have not had the chance to measure the difference with a db meter but it is getting worse.
What might be the cause? And what might be the Cure?

It's getting louder ? or the other side is getting quieter ? the latter sounds more believable but your the listener.

I have never really considered that before. It may be possible that could be the problem.
-
Sounds like you blew a tweeter on the quieter side...- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Most likely the top tweeter in the left speaker has gone south. Swap the top left tweeter with the top right tweeter and see if the problem follows. Report back.Political Correctness'.........defined

Can I use an Ohm / Volt Meter to determine if I have a problem in the tweeter?
-
if u want to do it...the fast way...
Take your hands, cuff them around each tweeter in the lighter side -- and turn up some music and listen to each one to make sure they are working...just to see if one is blown... if it is you wont hear anything
as for the other method, I have no idea...- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Ok Guys,
I switched the tweeters from side to side...same results. I even tried cupping my hand over the tweeters and each of them are working still the left channel is not as loud.
My pre amp has a parametric equalizer built into the bass and treble controls and from my tests it seems the right chanel is about 2.5 db louder than the other chanel.
I have tested to make sure the SDA is working and it is.
I think it might be in the crossover?!?
Help!!!!
Travis -
Can you swap out the pre amp, the amp, your source, IC's and speaker cable? Try to rule out any of those first. Also, you may have a bad polyswitch on the crossover. Call Polk and order two new ones and the schematic.Political Correctness'.........defined

Unfortunately I switched my cables around and the channels with no success...same results. How hard are the polyswitches to install??

Yes.

Good, then it's easy. Pull out the PR to access the crossover. Remove the bolt on the lower back of the case to remove the crossover. Be sure to support the crossover when removing, it's heavy. The polyswitch should be a kinda yellow color with two leads located right after the + in for the HF.Political Correctness'.........defined

Now I am really confused. Ken S, if you are reading this post I could really use some help. I just pulled my crossovers and this is what I found.
I HAVE TWO DIFFERENT SERIES OF CROSSOVERS!!!
The right channel (the one I have had trouble with) is labled BE-2200-B and the left chanel (the speaker I thought was O.K.) is labled BE-2200-B NEW.
There seems to be differences in the capacitors and the inductors. The Main Caps are single capacitors in the right channel and they are multiple caps (same locations) on the left channel and from what I can tell they have different uF values. The inductors are sized differently (could be the windings but I don't think that is the case.)
By the way the polyswitches seem to be O.K. in both speakers according to my meter.
Has anyone ran across this before?????

Hmmmmm.........
Send a email to Ken and good luck.Political Correctness'.........defined

Does anyone have the schematic diagram for the crossover to the BE-2200-C?
Better Still, Does anyone have any ideas or designs for mods to the crossover?
Travis:D -
So, do you have the BE-2200-B in your speakers or was that a typo? I do have schematics for both.Political Correctness'.........defined

Can you send me both...I have the BE-2200-B in my speakers now. Was wondering what the differences were?
Travis -
Ok, this is getting strange. Polk actually lists the crossover for the 2.3TL's as a BR2200-C, not BE. You really need to contact Ken Swauger at Polk. I was mistaken in thinking that I had two different schematics, but I will email you a copy of the schematic I have for the 2.3TL's.
Edit: PM me your email addy.Political Correctness'.........defined
