    I understand the M&K driver is meant to be powered, it was designed to be powered. I know it is. I know that a passive radiator that was designed for that use would be a better alternative.

    But dude, for 50 bucks - and the idea of upgrading later, really, WHO CARES?

    I know it could probally sound better if it used a real passive radiator designed for that.

    I dont care if you think I have learned more, or grown more in audio in anyway shape or form.

    You havnt' given me much of anything since I joined these boards back in May of 2002 - except an Adcom amp and 2,000 posts of arguing +.

    So the idea of you leaving me alone, is actually a pretty darn good idea if you ask me. Good riddance.

    Tell you what sport, you get a turntable set up, roll a fatty (and actually smoke it), and spin some Zep - No Quarter (Houses of the Holy) - and when you think it sounds 'right' on YOUR rig, report back.

    I know what you are talking about. I think it is great that you think that - when it has ZERO to do with what he did. My Dad took 2 tweeters from this forum, he returned one - and sold the rest. He took no gratitude in what was given to him.

    I sold my friend a good subwoofer for a killer price, and she likes it.

    I do not equate the knowledge that Russ has provided me to the Adcom amp he sold me. I wouldnt trade the knowledge he has provided me for that amp at all - I am very appreciative of what he has taught me in my 2 years on this board.

    Me and him get into it, and we usually work it out. When I get mad, I say stupid stuff - and I am known to do that.

    Now, as for you, I hope you do come down to the SC Gathering, because you will need my Mom to stop me from just pounding you to the ground, just for being who you are. A troll. I don't like you, and I think you should leave the forum since you contribute about NOTHING to this forum other than John Kerry BS. So please pack your bags and leave anytime you wish.

    I did not mean exactly what you depicted about the 2,000 posts and the Adcom amp. Although that is about half what you have given me, you have most definetely given me a large portion of knowledge, knowledge that I hope to help newbies and other fellow audio freaks out in the future. I am very grateful for all that have sat down and devoted their time to answering my questions in the past and my questions in the future to come. I am also grateful for the amp you sold to me at a good price.

    However, with that aside I did mean what I said about good riddance. I have made things right in the past - but if you don't see where I am coming from with the M&K, and wish to say what you said about me, and leave it at that - then for what I am concerned, dont let the door hit you on the way out.

    I am tired of arguing with you dude, and I am tired of wasting my time on replying to this - and I know you are to. If that is what I have to do to get back in your lil circle, then dude - goodbye.

    As for others in this thread, Des, Welcome to the board - and I know you enjoy your subwoofer, and I know you understand what I am talking about and I know that you like the subwoofer and all the other gear and I know it has a good home. That is what counts to me.

    As for Organ, I sent you a PM - I hope that explains.

    This is my last post (in this thread), and as for Russ - we have been down this road before, if you want to talk about it, IM me.

    First of all, I am new to this forum, I do not want to plant any bad seeds. But Trey is my best friend and I must step in here, seeing as my subwoofer is what caused the entire thing.

    I don't know who you think you are. It was just plain inhumane to bring Trey's dad into this. You KNEW it was a sore spot, and that it would push his buttons even more. I've never seen Trey so mad. TREY IS NOTHING LIKE EDDIE! Take it from someone who knows him better than he knows himself. So why don't you go back to effing those little portholes, and leave people's father's out of it.

    This is a good place to learn about all things audio. One word of advice, find and use your ignore button with ease. It will save you a whole lot of aggravation, and as you can see, the ones to use it on make themselves known pretty quickly.

    This is a good place to learn about all things audio. One word of advice, find and use your ignore button with ease. It will save you a whole lot of aggravation, and as you can see, the ones to use it on make themselves known pretty quickly.

    I've found that button to be very useful in the case of Spyderman. It filters all the crap he "Contributes" to the forum.

    I mostly hang around with Sean, Jesse, Paul, Faster, PolkWannabie -- bout it really as far as -day-to-day- communication.

    But, yes, russ is a bad bad bad bad influence ;) LOL!!

    I think we should all go back to burning chicken feathers and dancing around our speakers to help the sound travel cleaner!

    Everyone,
    Not trying to bring back old blood...but I'm glad the bottom driver is passive. See, when it is, there is less attention drawn to the waffling noises. With it unplugged, it's almost unnoticeable. We had it hooked up with speaker wire, but the Yamaha receiver couldnt quite drive it, so we switched over to the LFE cable and tore down the house buahaahha. The M&K still rocks it out, whether its 15 minutes or 15 million years old!
