Interesting article. Goes to show that blind listening comparisons can be flawed and should not be taken as definitive.

Edit: After reading the article closer, it sounds like the "blind test" may have been from recordings and not from in-person listening. That is completely flawed in my opinion. It's like trying to listen to a speaker comparison over a YouTube video. The recording device is usually an equalizer that masks the subtle differences you would pick up in person.

I don't know why anyone thinks this is hard. Blind test is a blind test. You play something in a given system, swap a part out, listen to the same thing and see if you can hear a difference or which is better or worse.
There is nothing more or less to it. Iv'e done hundreds of them.Dan

I did not read the link because when considering the average results of blind tests is 50/50 that should tell one they are absolutely worthless.
That said, I have participated in blind tests and got it right every time, but I'm not average 😎Political Correctness'.........defined
