Monitor 10b crossover/binding post question

I am about to redo the crossovers and l have two questions. First an most important are my binding post caps on the wrong posts? When I follow the red cap, it is plugged into the black wire internally.

I do have new binding posts but I think I’ll just leave these. Next question is do the film caps have polarity? I don’t think they do based on my research. I got Dayton audio caps. I also have new resistors and poly switch. Thanks in advance. I did search but only really say pics of the board not the binding posts.

Black wire is positive so the caps are correct. Poly caps are non-polar for the most part. There are one or two on the market that are not and the wires are colored as such. Poly-switches are NASTY, most of us remove them and use a 1/2ohm 10 or 12 watt resistor in their place. Dayton, Bennic and Solen caps are not the best. If you're looking for decent caps Clarity PX and CSA are much better caps and not nearly as harsh on your ears.

I have young kids that try to be careful but they are kids. How concerned should I be about blowing a tweeter if they drop a needle wrong or decide to turn the volume up too loud? That’s my primary concern.

Polyswitches either trip too often or not at all until the tweeter blows. Their safety feature is laughable. The more they trip they easier they trip. I had PS's that would trip with very little sound from the speaker, so frustrating!
