    That REL has an 800 watt class D amp in it, so that's another way to add power to the total system. B)

    I doubt mine is even using 100 watts most of the time though.

    I wish, was an E2 at that time. From memory was making $400 & change a month.
    The Kaserne we were at was highly over-crowded. The Army sponsored enlisted personnel at the rank of E4 and under to live off base, if they had a family, to lighten the load of on base living quarters.

    Only way we could afford to have that stereo was my wife. She worked on base at what could be considered an Army 7-Eleven. The closest base that had a commissary was a 20-Mark Taxi ride away.
    The wife actually made quite a bit more than I did in those days.

    That was some great times with some great memories.
    There were times that we only had enough money to buy & share a Bratwurst mit Brochen for supper... partly because we did have a G-9000, one must have priorities 😬.

    I do not believe anyone implied that what he experienced sonically is wrong just that it is not bi-amping due to the multiple reasons why it isn't.

    I believe similar results would be obtained by driving the speakers with a more powerful 2 channel amplifier as basically all that was done is increase the wpc fed to the speakers.
