Streamer upgrade ideas needed, thinking about Cambridge MXN10, thoughts?

I am currently using an Auralic Aries Mini with a linear PSU and it does sound very good, but given the current status of Auralic, and the fact the Mini takes some time to get setup after any changes to the gear, I'm debating a possible upgrade.
I would move the Mini upstairs and use the MXN10 in my main 2ch rig, Given the $500 price point of the MXN10, I'm curious to any users of this streamer and if another option would have higher SQ at that price point and I know that's subjective.
I would like an I2S output to pair with my Directstream Mk1 but my choices are limited. If I stayed with a non-I2S then I will likely have to raise my budget but hoping $500 new or used may be feasible. Open to all thoughts and criticism,

Check Out the Bluesound line.
I own 2 Node's N132's and they are fantastic. But they make higher end models like the Node Icon which has a nice screen on the front, if your into that soft of thing and the Vault 2i which has an internal hard drive and CD ripper. There is a more affordable model which you lose a few features from the Node, it's called the NANO. I like this unit. You lose HDMI input for ARC but who cares if you're not going to use it.

I bought a Node from someone here with a card installed for a linear PS. I had to source my own LPS since the seller kept his. Very happy with it.

The MXN10 is great and offers excellent price to performance ratio. I've used mine with the built-in DAC as well as the digital output as a transport. Sounds good in both use cases.

The MXN10 is a fantastic product. They also have the AXN10 if you want a bigger physical footprint.
