Hello,
I just acquired a pair of PolkAudio speakers. I'm based in Luxembourg (Europe).
They aren't installed yet because I haven't found anyone to help me set them up in my upstairs listening room.
Six speakers are missing. My question is: are these speakers still available?
Thank you

You should replace all 8 of them.

Why ?
And if I find 6 original SL3000 ? -
The RD-0198-1 is a better tweeter design than the original SL3000 from 35 years ago and it's best to have all the tweeters matching. Look up Midwest Speaker Repair on US Ebay. They have the replacement tweeters in stock and they'll ship internationally.

Replace all 8 with the RD-0198-1, they are much better tweeters. Trust me! I had 6 sl3000 in my 2.3tl, the 198's are MUCH smoother more coherent tweeters in every way. I wouldn't have believed it if it wasn't for my own ears. -
Thanks for your message

Phil, take some time to read through the builds on the SDA's. Especially the ones you now have, they're something very special.
Lot's of good information on what to do to Bullet-Proof your 1.2 TL's, and how to get the best sound out of them. The one above, suggested tweet upgrade, is first.
Lot's of knowledgable folks here that love sharing the do's and what they found along the way.
They all helped me on my journey of my first ever Polk's, the SDA SRS. Love them.

RD-0198-1 ordered from MSR.
they have already covered 750 miles between Minneapolis and Louisville
4000 miles remaining

You're gonna like what they do.

So, I received the RD0198-1 speakers, but since I was traveling, I only picked them up on Saturday. I installed them on Sunday, and since then... pure bliss. I've owned quite a few pairs of speakers, including some large Cabasse Brigantin Vs, but none with this abyssal bass. Now, with the new, very smooth tweeters, I can't stop listening, mainly to jazz.
I'm looking at another pair of Polk speakers, the SDA SRS 2s, for my other listening room. -
Make sure you get the Pin/Blade model.Philtraère wrote: »I'm looking at another pair of Polk speakers, the SDA SRS 2s, for my other listening room.

Here's a picture of the connection. I don't think it's the right version.

That is the 1st gen blade/Blade model.
Not a bad speaker, expensive to recap and the drivers mw6509 were only used on the SDA 1b and that model. They can be very difficult to acquire should you need more.
Don't be dissuaded if they are in your price range. Just go in eyes wide open. -
Thanks for your insightful opinion.
Unfortunately, there are very few sales on this side of the Channel.
This first gen model I've found, which is 300 miles away, is listed at the equivalent of $900.
But I'm not in a hurry; I'll wait a bit.
I'm enjoying my big ones in the meantime.
