Giving away a brand new, unopened, Albert King, Born Under a Bad Sign, SACD. Not many of his works on this format.
Back story...unfortunately (for me, fortunate for you), placed 2 in my cart when I ordered a few things from Stax. They didn't want to respond to my customer service email prior to shipment (still haven't). So, must be a Good Sign for you...I decided I'd pay it forward to my fine CP friends. I don't post much these days but I'm here, with my first cup of coffee, most days.
Typical disclaimer and giveaway details...
-Open to all CP members with 100 or more posts
-Type "In"
-Pick a number from 1 to 100
-Will use a random number generator on New Year's day to select the winner
-Winner, PM me your mailing address
-SACD and postage paid
Would prefer you have an SACD player or the ability to RIP an SACD to unlock Albert's goodness. However, not a requirement as it's a hybird and also has a standard CD layer.
One request...my first blues concert was an introduction to Albert King...along with BB King and Bobby Blue Bland on the same bill. Shortly after, Albert died. His death is a tragic story (look it up if you haven't). Let's honor his greatness...If you know his works or have first hand experience, post a tribute in honor of his legacy.

A good friend of mine was in a hair band in the 80's. One of their songs was "Born under a bad sign" they absolutely did it justice. That song turned me onto Albert and Cream. -

A friend was showing me his B&W bookies, some very old ones, and he had ALBERT King playing on his turntable. I was amazed at what I heard!
That was about 5+ years ago, and I still remember the event like it just happened. He sounded great coming through those old B&Ws.
I'd never heard of Albert King before then.

Didn't know one can record SACD's.
Used to record my LP's onto CD's with my Alesis Masterlink ML-9600 from the Pass Xono Phono.
Was nice to be able to record a disc @ 24/96.

Yes wishful thinking. Most are ripping the SACD data file to bypass the SACD itself. I'm not personally aware of burners that will enable you to rip the SACD file to disc.Would love the ability to record on an SACD disc.... wishful thinking? -

I haven't tried it, but the ripping process above creates an ISO file. I think with the right software and settings, you might be able to burn an SACD to a blank BD-R. I haven't had the best luck with burning BD-R discs over the years. I had a whole stack of blanks that didn't seem to make successful burns. I tried to archive all my photos to BD-R and half gave errors, half finished and then couldn't be read back reliably. I tossed a dozen or so and tried a different brand. Those seemed more reliable, but I don't have much faith they will be readable in 10 years. Overall, it doesn't seem to be as reliable as DVD-R or CD-R. -
