R200 50th AE Edition.....
Are they that much better than standard R200's?
Eyeing a pair, but I've never heard the 50th AE's

"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Opinions vary. Some say not worth it, some say they are better but question the value. -
I was quite interested when they were on deep discount but didn't like the cherry finish and saw some reactions indicated maybe not enough difference in sound quality. I already had a pair of regular R200s anyway.

Do you have the standard edition? If so, why not just hot rod them out? Your skills would out do the 50th AE’s anyway.

the wood veneer is very nice.
I ultimately didnt like them. I much preferred my Def Tech PM500 monitors in that application (near field on a desk)- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.
