Going in a new Family Room direction.

Hello everyone,

I'm planning on yet another floor level speaker move in Monitor Audio unless I can sit down with a Polk Reserve system and it takes me like Monitor Audio does. I currently run Focal and nothing I don't like about the sound quality, I'm looking at it as a more visual change. My Family room is going to go under a remodel in new wall colors , acoustic wood panels on the front wall, new furniture and this time I get to pick the colors. I'm going all warm tans , browns Whites etc to give it a new modern look . White speakers are the choice and with my new found love of the current Bronze Monitor audio speaker line, the wood trim around the bezel, these are going to be very hard to beat both sonically and visually.

However, The polk Reserve series has an awesome white color as well. They don't have the sexy wood trim around the bezel like Monitor Audio does BUT I do like the grill fabric that the Reserve comes with.

So If I go Monitor Audio it will consist of the 300 7g Floor standers as mains, the 7g Center channel and the new awesome on wall 7g all in white with the sexy wood bezel trim.

If Polk earns the spot, I'm leaning towards 2 different designs
Design 1 would be 5 R350's in white all hung on wall. This would I think make for a perfect synergy surround floor level system. I will leave my current Atmos Speakers in place as I have Points on the left side and downward firing on the right due to the angle of my 14 foot high ceilings. The fronts and Center will wrap around my new TV in a 77 inch Sony OLED. Finally moving away from the Sony Z9D of a hundred years ago LOL. It's only 65 inch as well so it has to go.

Now Design would be
Fronts R600's White
R350 Center White on wall underneath the TV
OR
R300 or R400 BUT they only come in Black and Walnut. With my new Family Room look, I'm not feeling black at all. Walnut might work and at that point I would consider going all Walnut all around.
Surrounds would stay R350's. I think this is the perfect design for a side surround speaker. I current still use my Mythos 10's as they are the Ultimate surround speaker . They are incredibly dynamic clear punchy and crazy thick and warm sounding all in one sentence. If Mythos was still around and offered white in these , I may have stuck with Def Tech. Sandy Murdered it out of the part with the Mythos Line and man , probably will go down as one of if not my favorite completely line of speakers.

I'll post a few pics to show where I'm going with this.

Personally I think the Monitor Bronze 7G line looks like simple inexpensive boxes and the C-CAM drivers are either like them or not. If someone already likes the "lively" drivers from prior versions chances are they'll like the updated ones. I wouldn't look below the Monitor Audio Silver line myself.

For white speakers that aren't too expensive I'd also look at Wharfedale Evo and Q Acoustics. Kef, PSB...lots of choices! White speaker cabinets appear to be a popular choice these days.
