Sunfire HRS 8

Hello all,
I decided to dust off my old HRS 8 subwoofer and put it back in use. I put it in my Office and calibrated to the room.
Usual Subwoofer crawl technics to find the best placement and sorry for me I had to pick the 3rd best place as best place was in front of the door and the other was the back left corner. Neither spot works as the back corner would have been awesome but I can hear my wife now complaining it's in her way when she files stuff.
I had to place it to the left of the right Bookshelf where the right channel lives. It works just fine , I didn't have to work hard to get it to blend. It's at 0 degrees Phase , 80 hz and blended so it doesn't call attention to itself which the Sunfire can BOOM and call attention to itself if not properly integrated. This is true with all subs but due to it's small size , it get all ornery when pushed. Little sub issues I guess.
Anyway , freeing up my Monitor Audio 50 7g speakers from having to reproduce frequencies below 80hz really cleaned them up. I had the crossover point as high as 100hz with great success. I may hit in the middle and drop to 90 but it's working clean at 80hz with super airy mid range and high extension. I'm loving these speakers even more with a subwoofer, only 1 I might add. For spec purposes , I use the Sonos Crossover and bypass the Subwoofers internal. Never ever use both and double filter. Either use the subs internal crossover or your bass management in your preamp.
Anyway all Audioquest as expected, long runs as the Sonos amp lives in my House / Network Rack in the basement. I was going to move it to my Closet in the Office to shorten the wire runs but this isn't some audiophile critical room, and actually even with the longer wire lengths, it's totally cool. I used 14 gauge wire and Silver plated custom Audioquest sub cabling I build myself.
I decided to use one of my Sonos amps as I in the future plan on switching the whole house over to Bluesound. I carry NAD and they made 4 zone Bluesound preamps and I'm gonna use probably all NADs around the house. That should be a nice upgrade over my current Sonos system. I have 2 Bluesound units now, one in the Family Room and another running my Dining room for testing or living with it over Sonos. It's better in all kinds of ways buy 1, no Apple Music internally , you have to airplay it. I may switch to another streaming service like Tital or even staying with Spotify which sounds pretty good. I like Apple Music as I have been ripping and using iTunes forever for house music.
