Are there multiple correct crossover versions for Monitor 4 with Peerless tweeters?

After reading some reviews and the specifications, I went looking for some Polk Monitor 4s, specifically wanted the Peerless tweeters. I found only 1 pair, on Ebay advertised as "tested", so bought them. They arrived with one speaker with blown fuse and blown mid/woof driver open circuit - suspected a problem in the crossover. When testing the other one for resistance (expecting about 8 ohms), I got inconsistent readings - another crossover problem? (I really wanted to try the Monitor 4, so got a 50% refund from the seller and went shopping for a replacement mid/woof and maybe crossovers, or would update the crossovers.) Luckily I found two MW6500 drivers at a good price. But, when looking for crossovers, I didn't find the same ones I had, but found a different version that appeared to also be for the Peerless version of the M4. Some additional research seemed to confirm that there were a couple of different versions, depending on date of manufacture, and less than disciplined component usage by Polk. The attached pictures show the original crossover on the left, and the replacement on the right. I have installed the replacement crossovers and both of the replacement MW6500 drivers and all is sounding quite good. Can anyone shed light on that original crossover vs the replacement version? Should I consider new capacitors for the original crossovers and careful repair of wiring as necessary? Thanks for your help.
