    Kid,
We have been telling you THAT all week.

The LSi supperior to the RTi line -- but that also depends on what kind of music you like.

Lush gives good advice, but he also needs to try stacking before he labels it a low end move...

Anyways, get a LSi system, HT shouldn't even be thought of in a 7x10 room.

Ok. So just 2 lsi9's and a sub????
Now I have to start thinking which intergrated amp to get. I really like the way Rotels look, and they are not TO expensive. How does a NAD intergrated amp compare to Rotels intergrated amp?

    Sid 11'x12' room. lol

WTF? I remember being your age, I thought everything looked bigger than it actually was -- not smaller.

    Different eyes I suppose.

Heck if thats size, go with a freakin Home Theater.

Jesus Christ - I need an Aspirin.

LOL -- Yeah, if I had alot more funds I would be knocking down my back wall and go to the edge of the deck and build on to my room another 3-4 feet! That would rule --

Heck with that size room, I would go with the system mentioned above....

    Home Theater system that is....

Good size room to do alot of things with it.....

Well. ATC, youve given me so much of your time. I suppose the only way to repay you is listening to you. I'm ready for you to help me build a system that will last me and sound good.

In all the years i've been into making music sound like...music via stereo equipment, I've NEVER EVER run across anybody that stacked speakers.

To suggest I don't know because I haven't tried has about as much weight as somebody that told me to stack speaker stands on top of my speakers, thus using the speakers as the actual stand and the stands as "dampening" agent.

    It boggles my mind.

To many times I've read posts, and I'm curious what you hear. I will agree to disagree, although I have serious doubts about what you hear, or what kind of systems you've actually heard.

    Well now you have --

And now that you have, you will - since it is unconventinal and different, will shun it - that is ok. No one cares what you think (atleast I don't).

To suggest I don't know because I haven't tried has about as much weight as somebody that told me to stack speaker stands on top of my speakers, thus using the speakers as the actual stand and the stands as "dampening" agent.

You have to try stuff to know it, I wouldn't put stands on top of my speakers - but that dosn't even make sense. If you go home today and don't stack your speakers - it won't bother me a bit.
It is something you have to try, tweak and listen to understand it can be better if the speaker needs it.

    It boggles my mind.

    What a shock.

To many times I've read posts, and I'm curious what you hear.

I don't really like the RTi70's tweeter. So I had the RT35i and RT5 laying around so I stacked them on top. At first I ran the RT35i with the RTi70 tweeter still plugged up. Then I switched them - then I eventually unplugged the RTi70 tweeter. This helped the fact the RTi70's Silk Tweeter has probally some of the worst highs I have heard. The Pioneers I reconditioned with 3 dollar tweeters have more detailed highs against them. So the stacking was a nice compensation, as the RTi70 had plenty of midrange and midbass kick. The RT5 is also very neutral and stacked on the 70 with no tweeter made a very neutral, natural sound if you will. I don't care if you don't like the method, the fact it sounded better to me (and probally would to many more people) - is enough for me. No one that has heard my system has left dissapointed.

I will agree to disagree, although I have serious doubts about what you hear, or what kind of systems you've actually heard.

I have heard some of the better systems out there.

I've heard the Wilson Audio X1 on Mark L -- in a complete 500,000 dollar system.

I've heard Sonus Fabors, Martin Logan, Thiel, Polk Audio 1.2TL, B&W, I've heard alot of good systems.

Personally dude, I don't know what kind of rig you have - but most of all the posts I have seen you make, all I hear is Polk Audio - then a few words later, low fi....

This hobby is about finding what sounds good to you, stacking sounds good to me --- that is all that matters (to me) -

I have recently though gone past stacking and replaced my mains with Definitives (great speakers) - so now I am in search of larger definitives so I can move my current definitive mains to the surround position....

I don't care if you dont agree, I especially dont care if you like my methods.

(ATCVenom - feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.)

"I'm ready for you to help me build a system that will last me and sound good." Since you insist on having everything repeated to you - ATCVenom just told you to research this stuff yourself - that includes reading online reviews and visiting your local store to test the stuff yourself, but not asking for his advice over and over again. There is only so much you can expect from any of us. ATCVenom is one of the most generous members here - when he tells you he's had enough - respect that. Rewind.

It's not a new concept. It has been around for years (literally). Check out the article from the first issue of The Absolute Sound over 30 years ago. HERE is "Harry Pearson’s review of the stacked Advent system". I have at times done this with a modest amount of success and a member of the forum who used to post regularly had a pair of RT35is stacked on top of his RT800is and he loved the sound.
