Polk & Google Home

Was not sure where to post this, but there seem multiple threads related to Polk & Google Home - specifically related to Google Home seeing the Polk device, but unable to connect.

My house has both fiber & 5G internet access - obviously different routers for each.
Yesterday there was some kind of technical issue in my area resulting in the fiber network going offline for a while, so I powered of that router and switched to 5G.
Then the 5G mobile network went offline briefly while the tech ppl sorted out the problem.
So now the 5G router is no longer connected to internet, but merely acting as an internal LAN router.

For some unknown reason i opened Google Home.
Now i see "Polk speaker loading" - never seen this before - always greyed out.
So I click on Polk and suddenly i am able to change volume from Google Home as well as cast audio - also never able to do previously.

Soon enough internet access is restored, both fiber & 5G.
Along with restored internet access, immediately came the "unable to connect" notification in Google Home - now unable to connect to Polk again.

I've seem multiple threads / comments / complaints on differing forums where ppl are able to do the initial Google Home / Polk setup, but once completed, find they are unable to connect to Polk (and i am one of the many), even tho Google Home sees Polk.

I have no idea where the root of the connectivity problem between Google Home and Polk may be, but I found it rather curious that there was no issue connecting within LAN network, but as soon as WLAN / internet access enters the scene, all goes dead.

There is some common denominator out there causing ppl to tear their hair out on this problem !!
