Magnifi Max sr1 issues

So I've tried resetting the soundbar, moving speakers left to right and still my surrounds won't connect, only the right rear will. Left rear keeps flashing. I've tried an extra L speaker and still doesn't connect. I tried resetting the bar too many times to count and nothing. The surrounds are brand new. Sub connects instantly and so does the right rear. I never see the green light for surrounds either.

Sub pops often also no matter how many times I power cycle it.

Any thoughts on either issue?
