Snub is on the Way
PM sent, to Jody...please PM me when you are ready to send it on for the next person's info.
Since Tom's thread kind of started this and since there are some "reviews" already in that thread, maybe we post any findings there so they are all in one place?Yep, my name really is Bob.

If not too late I’d like to be added to the list. My components are plugged directly into the wall or a surge protector with no other treatments or noise reduction device so should be interesting to see if this makes a difference. I’ll send a PM with my info.

I want to jump in on this as well.
PM coming. -
No problem...after a bit of a slow start we now have 9 "testers".

Honestly, I wouldn't mind being on it as well. I know I already have one, but it would ease my curiosity if these are a cumulative thing. I don't think they are, but it wouldn't hurt to try.
My only request is this....since I already have one (along with the MC), place me at the bottom of the list. Let others see (or rather, hear) for themselves what it does.

I'm still surprised that only 9 forum members are intrigued enough to give the SnubWay a try in there system. Agreed. For the potential of what is has to offer a system's performance? This is a no brainer. Maybe folks just need more positive reviews....or because it's a "tweak", they automatically discount it - which is a major mistake in my book.
Even if folks like it, it's not like they will be out close to 2K, like the SRA demo program. This unit is only $300. With around $10 to test (just to see what happens)?
I don't get it. Most of the people are on this forum to see how they can improve their system, ask for help or talk about the latest and greatest. Well, this is definitely one of those things!

I would've loved to hear if they reduced the noise in either of my many systems, but I'm sure there is a consensus that I wouldn't be able to tell the difference because of my tinnitus.
I will be reading all the reviews, for sure.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -
Tony, I can tell you after only 2 hours on a "bad tinnitus day" (on those days I normally don;t even bother to fire up the rig) that I can hear a difference. With that said, I'm hoping it's like others have mentioned and after a few more days I'll be smiling. Still optimistically skeptical though.Yep, my name really is Bob.

-
Do you have to use a power strip with this unit?
-
No sir. Any standard outlet will work. Even if it is on a power strip or other device, but those are not required at all.

I know it’s only been a couple of hours, but am I reading it correctly that you’re hearing a
degradation in sound quality?Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -
Not at all. Others have mentioned that the first few days there is not much of a difference but then...wham. I'm waiting for the wham factor.Yep, my name really is Bob.

Good deal! Glad I read it wrong.
On another note, I wonder if you could use something like this if the number of outlets available is a problem.

I have the SnubWay demo unit in-house now
I'm confirming with Bob that this is a brand-new unit, with no break-in on it yet.
Another question: is it safe to 'hot-swap' this in-and-out of sockets? In other words: do the electronics need to be powered off before placing the SnubWay in or out of the circuit?"This may not matter to you, but it does to me for various reasons, many of them illogical or irrational, but the vinyl hobby is not really logical or rational..." - member on Vinyl Engine

This is a cool idea and might make the most difference, in the case of the APC I have. No amp rating though...Remember, when you're running from something, you're running to something...-me -
That would be rated at 15 amp (you can tell by the plug style).
I have swapped them hot before. IIRC, the worst I got was about slight pop one time while the system was playing. Why only one time, I couldn't even begin to explain to you, and I don't remember if that was from one of the Puron's, from the Snubway or the MC. That was a while ago.

If I recall correctly, their website says have at it. I’ve done it with no ill effects.
