Back in October, I agreed to help long-time member @KrazyMofo24 with his Velodyne DD sub setup by sending him an accessory kit to borrow. The kit includes a remote, very nice calibration mic, all patch cables and instruction manual - they sell for ~ $150. I sent it off, and even covered shipping, because without the kit, it’s impossible to realize the total benefits of the Velodyne DD subs.

Anyway, time goes by, and I’m not in any real hurry to get my kit back. Then on Dec 1st I get a pm stating that the kit will be shipped back to me on Dec 5th, and tracking will be provided. No problem.

On Dec 14th I shoot a message asking for the tracking #, because I’m fearing it’s lost in transit. No reply. I have sent similar messages on Dec 17th, 20th, and 23rd, all with no reply. What’s concerning me now, is that this member has not signed on to the forum since the 14th - the day I first requested the tracking#.

If any of you have a contact phone number of email for this member, could you kindly PM me - or, if you’re not comfortable with that, at least reach out to him on my behalf? I’m a pretty easy going guy, but I have to say that between this incident and the Sunfire amp incident, I’m kinda done doing any transactions with anyone I don’t “know” on the forum. I suppose that’s what saddens me most - my own loss of inherent trust in the members here. All that said, I suppose it is possible that this guy is laid up in the hospital or something, and I sincerely hope he is well - I just want my item back…

With a user name like that, you might have put your trust for a safe return in the wrong hands. Hopefully, they prove me wrong.

    Hopefully it all works out.

I noticed in his comments he disappeared for months at a time in the past so benefit of the doubt all that.

Probably one of the calmest posts ever made about a situation like this, along with your comments about the Sunfire deal, but especially after having had that happen, first. Hope it all works out in time.

I am happy to report that this situation has been resolved! I received the Velodyne kit today. As for your question @Clipdat , all I will say is that the member in question has a personal situation going on. Thank you to the Polk family that helped me bring this issue to closure, I sincerely appreciate it!

Very glad that things worked out.

Glad to hear it. I was surprised to hear this from Krazymofo24 as I always thought he was a solid member here. Hate to hear that he’s got some personal things going, but I did suspect there was a reason. Not excusing it, just saying I didn’t think he would do it under normal circumstances.

Hopefully, it's nothing too serious and he will be back here when things settle down. We all have krazy 😉 times in our lives.

Sometimes there's no excuse but sometimes there's a darn good reason.
