Polk sigma 2 soundbar sound

Just purchased the signa2 soundbar on Amazon recently. Love the sound quality and the subwoofer. I was just wondering will the sound bar automatically pick up the Dolby digital signal when available as long as I have the HDMI cable and optical cord plugged in?. I only get one white light on when ever it is on.
I am using a better quality HDMI cord and a better quality optical cord instead of using the cables provided. Just wanted to get the best sound quality out of this sound bar

Hello,
Welcome to the Polk forum. I'm glad you're enjoying the Signa S2, that's great. It will automatically decode Dolby Digital when the source is providing it. According to the manual one LED is the correct display. Enjoy!
