Would it be Funk Audio, Genesis or REL?

    Tom

I think it’s well accepted in the HT world that the best subs commercially available for consumers is likely JTR.

The SVS17 is only a baby compared to what the HT guys run as they are more into tactile feel than the bass most stereo guys are after.

That said, no replacement for displacement. The SVS 17 has a woofer that pretty much encompasses the entire one panel of the JL 113v2 (approx 18” across in a box). You cannot produce the hit the 17 woofer has with the 13” JL. Physically impossible. The 17 by SVS is a monster at its price point IMO.
Magico M2, JL113v2x2, EMM, ARC Ref 10 Line, ARC Ref 10 Phono, VPIx2, Lyra Etna, Airtight Opus1, Boulder, AQ Wel&Wild, SRA Scuttle Rack, BlueSound+LPS, Thorens 124DD+124SPU, Sennheiser, Metaxas R2R

SVS 16 versions next to the 17.
    I believe the 16 actually was a 15.5” woofer.
