Zpre2 Problem

I haven't had any issues with my Parasound Zpre2 until the other day. When I hit the power button the Mute and Zone lit up. Couldn't power down or on. Thing is, I don't have a remote for it so I didn't hit anything in error. Tried unplugging for a short time, then overnight, still the same. Parasound couldn't offer any help as it's a old model, which I think is a bit absurd. One bit of advice was to find a remote online then change the setting but it could be "risky". Any help would be appreciated!

Have you tried powering it up with nothing connected to it?

Parasound recently changed owners and the new owners don’t have all the older manuals and information.

I recently bought a zpre2 and actually purchased a remote from Parasound just because mine didn’t have one and it’s impossible to find one anywhere else

  • In the end, the repair shop declared it dead. Oh well, thank you!
