I moved 2 rti12 tower speakers about 1200 miles padded wrapped and boxed. After the move and 2 months of storage all 3 7" on BOTH speakers and not producing bass.
I moved these speakers personally so they were not dropped or anything like that. I have them hooked up to the same receiver yamaha rx v1400 100 wpc (I know underpowered but sounded great) and checked them again with a sherwood rx4105 with the same result.
Now I live in Arizona so it does get very hot while they were in storage for 2 months but they were never powered on in those conditions.
Any idea's what I can check for?
Thank You

Hello,
Welcome to the Polk forum. That's not something that usually happens, especially to both speakers. There are two sets of binding posts on the rear of the cabinets. Which set are you connecting to? If the lower set of binding posts then that eliminates the possibility that the jumper plates have come loose. These speakers have the two woofer wired in series, which means that if one of the internal connecting wires has come off neither woofer will work. This would mean removing one of the woofers from the cabinet and checking all the wires that run from the crossover to the woofers.Post edited by SeleniumFalcon on
