    Outside of all of this...

Hooking up another set of speaker playing the same signals will result in some crazy response curves. You will boost some frequencies and cancel others.

Ultimately the rtia9 are capable of far greater volume then the rtia3 can ever dream of, especially in a room that large.

What you need is a much larger set of speakers for a room that size. The rtia9 is a baby in that space, imo. Especially if you are getting after it.

Tyler acoustics offered a series called the pro dynamic and can be found relatively cheaply on the used market. They use pro drivers and are the size of a refrigerator. That would be my recommendation!

    Hello,
Welcome to the Polk forum. It looks like the Onkyo is a two channel receiver that can be used as part of a network. What function would you want the RTi A3 to perform?

So wait, are you already running two sets of speakers in the same room and you want a third?

Get some PA speakers and bridge a couple of Crown pro amps.

I was goona do that but I was given the rtia 3 so i figured I just add on to my empty spot on receiver and then will at least have all same series of speakers was my thinking and if to loud or what have ya I would just adjust volume on the 3.thx

To me, that would sound ear-piercingly terrible. But it shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't crank it to high. Try it, if you like it, rock on.

Let me get this straight. With the RtiA 9's and the 300wpc emotiva amp, it's not loud enough? Just how big is this room?

In general terms, unless the system is a multi-channel type with each speaker reproducing a different sound (left channel, center channel, right channel, surround channels) a two channel system satisfies best with two speakers each contributing to a solid imaginary stage in front of the listener. In fact people put lots of effort and money in eliminating unwanted extra sound sources that tend to confuse building this imaginary image.
But, there's the old adage, "Try it and see if you like it!"

I suggest you try to learn what good stereo is supposed to sound like. Maybe visit an audio store or attend an audio show.

    That's a BOLD statement.
Now if what you said about having had some top shelf gear, then one would think you knew the answer to your question before you posted it.

    LMAO

It's a shame you don't recognize constructive advice, but then again after reading your posts I'm not surprised.

    Good luck, you'll need it.
