LHY SWITCH AND CLOCK

Hello,
i'm looking for natural or analogue sound in streaming. I have inslalled a quality regulated linear power supply on my box. I then have an LHY SW6 switch and an LHY OCK2 master clock which controls my switch and my dac TEAC UD701n network player. I'd like to install an LHY FMC optical bridge between my box and my switch but the FMC doesn't have a clock input even though it has a clock inside. In my case, i wanted to know if anyone had tried connecting 2 LHY SW6 switchs to make my optical bridge and connect the 2 switches to the OCK2 master clock.
I which case i would get the best result.
Looking forward to your reply.
All the best.
Dominique.

Most of the people utilizing advanced streaming hardware have switched to EtherRegen switches and an outboard master clock.

You might review these threads for some background and the thoughts and experiences of those using these devices, as well as to see who you might speak with on your questions about your current setup.

From what I understand, you can do that but you would need to be able to sync all of the clocking. I believe there are two products out there that can do this for you. Mutec MC-3+ USB Master Clock (you would hook your master clock up to this) or a Singxer unit (not sure which one would work in your application).

I use the EtherREGEN switch because it utilizes a master clock hookup to it and also supports optical/Ethernet hookups right out of the box. There is a gen2 ER coming out (hopefully soon) that supports 1G ports and further refinements. That should have already been out by now but you could get away with a gen1 in the meantime, if you decide to go that route.
