S4 won’t decode issues

Bought an S4 about a month ago. Everything was fine. Now, won’t decode/broadcast Dolby or Atmos. TV is a couple year old Samsung. HDMI is connected to HDMI-eARC from TV to soundbar. TV audio settings are auto for HDMI-eARC and digital audio output. If I switch DAO to pass through it will show a green light on soundbar, all channels. Still no Atmos. Atmos compatibility is on with TV audio settings. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

    This is the recommended solution:

Here’s what I would check in this instance:

    1. Firmware update on Samsung TV.

    2. Soft reset on S4 Soundbar (disconnect from power source for at least 15 mins) and on TV.

    3. Trying a different HDMI cable (you never know..)

    4. (This one may not make sense, but stranger solutions have been found) Switch the TV’s DAO to Bitstream (if this is an option).

    5. If you have another TV in your home, I suggest trying the Soundbar with that. Could help narrow down where the problem resides.
  • I will try those after work and post results. I appreciate it.
