Kef Q bookies

Ok,
For the sheer hell of it, I have a pair of White Q series Kef speakers. I wanted to get to know them in my own room with my gear. I have 2 different speaker stands and I also wanted to see how they would do just sitting on top of my stand as a regular bookshelf would be.

In my Office where these could end up, I'm considering putting actual book shelving in and these would be apart of that arrangement. So getting to know them is pretty fun.

Well let me tell you about KEF, if you never got to know this brand, they are tell it like it is. They don't stand out in any way. They are so balanced and even from head to toe. Very wide and clear. I really enjoy the way they sound and present music. Everything is just where it should be. Things are placed exactly where you expect them to be. Nothing is enhanced or laid back. They really are a very balanced speaker . And I'm growing fond of the white finish.

I'm gonna mess around with them in here, maybe take them into my Office and run them off Sonos ( If I can get the offing app to work properly ) and hear how they sound in a small room.

In there, going back and forth with the Focal's, I'm not let down when I go to the Kef's. They are actually kinda similar on how neutral they play. The Focal's are also very balanced and clear. So going back and forth, your like :" HELL YEAH " no matter what pair you are listening to. Even just siting on my Salamander stand, pointing straight into the room, not even the proper separation, they perform above my expectations.

I have their Subwoofer as well and I might mess with it this weekend, not sure, lots of fun toys to play with .kzf1g3518tm1.jpeg

Love me some KEF's! I had tons of fun with their Q350, Q950 and the fabulous R3's (non Meta) I'm currently running Q150's as surrounds. The R3 were really hard to let go but I wanted to try the Maggie LRS. The Maggie's are a entirely different experience and I'm really digging them... hence the upgrade to 1.7i's. If I ever go back to a box speaker you better believe KEF will be at the top of the list. Hint, Hint REF1's!!
