I have a vintage yamaha tuner with a 75 ohm, a and b dual unbalanced input that rcas don't go in and the coax with threads doesn't seem to, how should it be hooked up?

Wow, I didn't know this was a thing. I've only seen two connection types for this. Good info, @F1nut
@bb1105 - I'm curious about this, could you post photos or a model number?
I thought you were having trouble connecting the tuner to a receiver, but couldn't determine from your post what you meant without more info.

Many Yamaha tuner or receivers had that type of connection. When new they came with a pigtail that had a coax F type connection on one end and the slip on connection for the tuner or receiver on the other. They were quite common back in the day.

I've only ever seen that spade to coax transformer shown here at the 3 o'clock position. I didn't know about the other connection types. interesting.I disabled signatures.

That would be a 75 ohm to 300 ohm balun @msg.

I know, dude lol
I only used the word transformer because that's what's stamped on it.I disabled signatures. -
baluns convert a BALanced connection to an UNbalanced connection. Usually with appropriate impedance matching.
In this case, 300 ohm balanced to 75 ohm unbalanced.
The European 'standard' equivalent to our 75 (ish) ohm "F" connector for cable TV (OTA downleads, too) was/is the PAL connector. Yamaha tended to put PALs on everything, to the consternation of us in the Colonies who were/are still pretty much all "F"d up.
EDIT: If I get suitably bored* later today, I'll post some photos of some of my "workarounds" to the vagaries of FM signal input 'standards'. Trigger warning: they are generally not pretty.

I did not, however know the definition of "balun".
I thought that was that grill thing that whales have for screening krill.

Whales -- and some BMWs.

The best thing about that photo I just posted above (from 2019?!?!) -- the link from Road & Track from whence it came also provided the invaluable information that, at least back in 2019, BMW's design director was named Adrian von Hooydonk. Who needs fiction (or AI) when we have real life, eh?

Hooydonk is nobody's business but our own.
