Woodbourne Speaker Doesn't Turn On: Possible Causes?

I have an old Woodbourne speaker that suddenly stopped working. It was unplugged for about a month and when I plugged it back in, it won't turn on. No lights, no sign of life, I tried both with the front buttons and the remote. What could be the possible causes and is there a potential relatively easy fix, like replacing a fuse? If so, how do I do that?

I really like the design and the sound is very pleasant, so I would hate to throw it away. Polk hasn't designed anything new in this category that is a worthy successor, either. So, any help is greatly appreciated.

I'll check with a friend at Polk to see if there is some troubleshooting you can try.

Unfortunately there isn't much troubleshooting possible with that unit, I'm afraid. The front grille cloth isn't easily removable and Polk doesn't have any repair capability. I wish I had more positive information for you.

I suspect the feet on the bottom pop out to expose screws, which would allow one to access the workings. Perhaps there is a fuse in there, perhaps there is a loose connection, perhaps a bad capacitor...lots of perhaps. My understanding is the failure rate of the Woodbourne was very high and you're lucky yours lasted this long.
