Magnifi Mini AX - When audio is quiet speaker automatically mutes in aux mode?

It seems like if the audio input is below a certain level the speaker just mutes rather than attempt to play the audio quietly. For instance if I'm playing a song at a certain level it will play the parts in the song that are louder and then just not play the other parts.
Things I have tried:
FW version: 5016
Cast firmware: 1.56.310669
Things I have tried:
- Swap to headphones on same aux output - headphones play fine
- Swap speaker to another device - problem still occurs
- Swap to another 3.5mm cable - problem still occurs
- Change to using google casting - Audio can be heard even at volume 1
- Factory reset - problem still occurs
- Change audio modes (e.g. tv, movie, music, auto, etc.) - problem occurs on each one

Hello,
Welcome to Polk's forum. It sounds as though the automatic standby mode is engaging. Are you able to raise the level of the signal coming into the soundbar? -
I don't think I can without increasing the volume which I don't want to because then the loud parts are too loud. Is there a way to turn off the standby mode?

I tried this "solution" and so far it seems to work okay, I would really prefer if there was just a way to disable the feature however.

Never mind, that helped but it is still happening. I don't really think it's standby unless the auto standby is very aggressive, like turning on/off in less than 1 second.

It might be a good time to call Polk's CS department at: 1-800-377-7655.

Turn the device connected via AUX to maximum volume and then set the volume on the Mini low. This should keep the sound bar from powering off.
