I would like to buy a 2 channel amp local in DFW. My current amp no longer works and need something to replace it.

    Budget is a pretty big factor. Also, what speakers, source, cables, and room size? So many variables to consider...

    The T+A amp would be perfect to go with my preamp since it’s also T+A. I got a really good deal on the preamp otherwise it would have been above my budget.


    I’ll probably need to get a $100-$200 range to hold me over. But also will consider trading one of my DACs. I have an Oppo 105 and a peachree idac.

    Speakers: Vienna Acoustics Mozart Grand and Haydn Grand.
    Cables: Audioquest Diamondback, X-2 speaker cable.

    Mastersound compact 845 tube integreted tube amp (sell the preamp). Price is up there, but this is an amp you can keep for years. I'm in Saginaw or you can pick it up at the southwest audio fest, that will give you more time to save for the purchase. :)

    Did you say $100-200 budget? You can't get much for that, but I do have a nice parasound hca-750a for sale that sounds nice and would hold you over for a while...

    Thanks for the offers I was able to find a Parasound 2125 for $250 a little over my budget but close enough.

    I’m looking forward to hearing it and having a Parasound amp. If I can see my Oppo 105 and peachtree dac I’ll consider the T+A amp for $1200.

    I was able to get the Theta working again. I moved my best rca cables my audioquest diamondback to connect the amp to the preamp. Putting a little pressure on one of the rca connections and the noise goes away. It was the same with my previous rca cable but less noise and easier to adjust to stop the noise.

    I’ll keep digging on things to try and will look into other rca cables. I’m glad it’s working at the moment it’s been a year of not having it. Definitely a big difference over the Parasound.
