What's the oldest piece you use regularly?

I have an Adcom 555 amp in the bedroom system. As far as I know, it's all original. I pull it out every so often and check the DC offset. So far so good. I understand it could blow up my speakers (s55's) anytime. Would you trust it?

Oh my current lineup, the Modwright KWA-150SE is the oldest piece of gear and it’s only 7-8 years old. The oldest piece I have ever regularly used was a couple of B&K ref amps but they were pretty noisy and repair parts for them really didn’t exist much anymore.
I’d keep sending it with the ADCOM personally. Don’t fix what ain’t broke! And if something happens in the future, deal with it then.2 Channel in my home attic/bar/man cave

Carver TFM45 holds down my two front channels in my 3.1 TV system. Last night I traded it out for my Aragon 4004 mk II. After carrying that beast upstairs I practically threw the Carver TFM through the ceiling😁, what a difference in weight between them.

Still have a Marantz 2252B receiver and a Kenwood turntable in my office rig purchased new in the mid 70's
-
I'd keep using the amp unless it starts producing strange crackling, whining, or clicking sounds from speakers.
I've had a PS Audio Power Director 4.7 in constant use since 2002. Unlike their AC regenerators this thing just keeps on running. Three of their power plant things blew in the time I've had the PD 4.7! Still has no problems running a full home theater system including 10 channels of amplification and dual subwoofers. -
I have an old 866 globe tube I use on and off from the early 1920's.
-
Oh, well now tubes? That's a completely different story.

Oldest component is a Sony 2251 DD tt (very early 1970s).
The 2A3s that I use the most in my JE Labs (Joseph Esmilla) "Simple 2A3" amplifier date back to (at least) the early 1950s. I bought them used (and cheap!) about 20 years ago. They've got a lot of miles on them. They still sound very good.
I own a lot of old stuff, but most of it's not in regular use.
The drivers in my big Frankenaltecs are pretty old, but I don't know how old. Probably not as old as I am -- but probably close.

B&K EX442 amp and PS Audio 4.6 preamp bought new 1990 … both work flawless and untouched other than bias adjustment on the amp a few years ago.

Carver M400a cube amp from 1982. I bought it 1994 and it's been in service ever since. Only been in the shop once.

Dayumm....not many folks have that amp anymore. Rare breed, if you will....

I switch things in and out so nothing but my Def Tech system stays around, which needs to be replaced. I have had them well to long and I can't believe they are still here, but then I can as they are that good. I love the hell out of them and the Hobbyist in my just wants something different.Dan

For me, it has to be one of my turntables, and probably my Acoustic Research AR XA. They started making those in 1961, but I don't know exactly when mine was manufactured. Many people think it was one of the most important turntables ever made.
Second oldest piece(s) would probably be a pair of KLH Model Twenty speakers, circa 1965."This may not matter to you, but it does to me for various reasons, many of them illogical or irrational, but the vinyl hobby is not really logical or rational..." - member on Vinyl Engine

My VPI HW-19 and its tonearm are from the mid-80s, but I think my AT15SS phono cartridge is from the late 1970s? Not absolutely sure since most of the literature for it is undated. After that, my Sony SA5ES tuner is quite a bit newer...1996?For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

Are you sure? Hard to believe you are not using any tubes that are older than the Woodmere...For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore... -
Oh, I definitely have older tubes. I thought we were speaking of components in use. Oldest tube is from the early 50's, IIRC.
I would venture to say that all my tubes are older than the Woodmere's.

My Parasound HCA 1500A is the oldest piece of equipment, little over 20 years old.
I keep on thinking about sending it out to be gone through, but it's still dead silent and seems to function perfectly.
I do run a tube rectifier in a preamp that best I can tell, is from the mid 60's. -
My oldest set up I bought all used about 9 years ago. Yamaha CR1000 (with sliders ) hooked to Polk Audio RTA15tl speakers upgraded crossovers by WMG w/rd0198 tweets. Technics SL1300tt. I grew up listening to country (my mom) I listen to all the old school country to hard rock/metal. 1960's to present every chance I get. I only have about 1 7ft shelf of record I enjoy & maybe 800 cd's & tons of rock DVDs i really enjoy. I use my Pandora acct & in future id like to get into streaming (i know im behind times). I enjoy Audio but have lots of hobby's..

I think (?) the Sony CDP-508ESD preceded my RTA 15TLs by a year or two (~1990?), but I'm not entirely sure anymore. Still works like new now that it started getting exercised regularly again. The LampizatOr handles the DAC duties nowadays, though.
