R700 w/Sony AN1000

Hello Polk community!

I would love any opinions on whether the Sony AN1000 can power the R700's. As you can imagine, as I explore the interwebz on this subject, I get differing opinions on the types of equipment that are needed.

Thank you for your feedback!

Do you think the Onkyo rz50 would be a better choice?

Before going any further, is this for HT or 2 channel?

    Oh yeah, totally...should have clarified.
This will primarily be for HT but potential for more music listening as well.
    Thank you for your response.

Ok, I'll presume you will run the R700 as small crossing the bass to your sub, so either AVR would work.
