He insisted I sit and listen and asked me to select something to play. He was even willing to open up a brand new box set LP of Miles Davis. I was actually horrified he was willing to do that and begged him not to!! (the pic that shows the system on the rack with the LP’s next to it in the box. You can see it in the back still wrapped in plastic) We listened to the SACD instead.
Nice, man, I'm glad you actually got to enjoy yourself a bit. I laughed at your reaction to the host offering to open that Miles Davis for you lol
this is one of my favorite photos you shot...
@msg Since it was the last day of the fest and quite literally the last hour (*at that point in time it was around 3:30pm and the fest ended at 4:00pm*) I did not want him to open up a brand new and expensive box set knowing I would only have about five minutes of time to sit and listen! So YES I was admittedly horrified he was willing to do that The gentleman was a VERY gracious host and I thanked him for his hospitality and wished I had more time. -

@honestaquarian
Thank you for posting all these photos. Very nice of you.
It didn't appear to be very crowded in your photos. Not well-attended? -
If it is anything like LSAF, Friday night and especially Saturday from 10-4 are the busiest times. Other photos I have seen from the event, it looked rather busy but they were taken before he arrived.

@aprazer402 remember I was running around on the last day of the fest, which was a Sunday. You cannot judge by when I was there how crowded it was because I missed the first couple of days. I could have been more crowded on Friday and Saturday like @treitz3 said, but I wouldn’t know.
I didn’t find out about the fest until Saturday night after I got home from work. -
I spoke with Jonny today (owner of Snake River Audio) and he stated that Friday was actually busy at this event as well, most likely because of Veteran's Day and people having the day off. Saturday was busy as usual.

Thanks for all the great photos. Lots of old fat, half bald gray haired guys as usual.
Nice to see an SACD player!
When I was last there in 2019, that big VAC room had the worst sound in the entire show. The MBL room was a close second.
I would have gone this year, but my back said no. Maybe next yearPolitical Correctness'.........defined

1) I saw a bit of -- ahem -- DEI in various photos I've seen on the interwebz, which I do, in all seriousness, perceive as a hopeful sign of a future for the hobby.
2) Yeah, I, too -- really, truly do want to make it to one sometime! I/we could use it as excuse to visit, and probably even freeload at , our son & daughter-in-law's abode in Alexandria, VA. A win-win.
Sorry about your back, @F1nut !
