Just go Qobuz and don't look back. Tidal ain't worth $20/month, not for what they offer. Me thinks you are paying for their lies/deception and mistake. I'd rather pay for quality music.

What I did, before this happened was take a screenshot of every song I had on Tidal. Then I went through each screenshot and added the best version I could find to Qobuz. I was expecting to not find some things but I was incorrect on my assumption. I found everything and discovered some new versions along the way. Some of the live ones are outstanding.

Granted, I have always preferred Qobuz over Tidal (even with MQA bypassed), so my selections over at Tidal were not as vast as the library of music I have built up on Qobuz. Some folks I know, used Tidal pretty much exclusively and their libraries are so large, I would not want to go through the process of finding everything on Qobuz again.

For me, I maybe had 100 or so songs on Tidal, so the transfer to Qobuz wasn't as painful for me as it would be with some that have huge libraries on Tidal.

As for the "Family Plan"? My entire family uses Qobuz. While I am playing on the stereo (using the Lumin or Linn app), they can listen to whatever they want on the Qobuz app without us interfering with each other. I don't know why that is but that's what we do. As far as their "libraries", they have their own folder (or whatever you call them) that has all of their music within that folder. I'm the only one that breaks it down to specific genre's, audiophile selections, reference selections, trip/vacation music, blah, blah, blah. We do not have a so called family plan on Qobuz.

I like it because we have a folder labeled, "Music to explore". Whenever my wife listens to something, she can add it to that folder and tell me to check it out. So for, everything she has suggested gets added to one or more folders. I am lucky, in that she has an incredible taste for good music.

    FWIW.

Interesting about the family sharing. I listen to music while I work, either in the home office or at school, and if my daughter or wife is also listening a battle ensues. Thus the reason for the family plan. I went ahead and signed up for qobuz duo, same price as the deal I had on the tidal family plan, and should be sufficient:

FYI, this isn’t the first time I’ve gone back and forth between services: for those like me with a large library, this is a great resource for transferring your music between streaming services: www.soundiiz.com

Interesting. How do you know if it "transferred" the same version or file that was on Tidal?

I know sometimes, they have 3 or 4 of the same song that you can choose from.....whether it be from a different year, remaster, album or whatnot....

I still feel Tidal had the better app or interface as far as not pulling up single songs as full albums. Qobus, I have an issue with that but, beyond that, I have said from day 1, in my rig, Qobuz sounded better.

The other thing, Tidal on the discovery page, I also felt did a better job bringing up new music over Qobuz BUT, on my rig, I can hover over an album and see what style of music it is without having to click on it. Being able to pay a year at a shot at a discounted rate is another + for Qobuz.
