Polk Soundbar volume reacts but does not adjust

Options
I've been using my Polk Soundbar for about a year with no issue. Last night when I adjusted the volume it appears to react (lights on bar show volume change) but the volume doesn't actually adjust. Funny enough if I mute and unmute the volume will come on at the proper adjusted volume. Any ideas on how to fix this issue so the volume will adjust appropriately?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure Polk would recommend a reset. To do this turn off the soundbar and unplug the AC power cord from the wall. Leave unplugged for at least five minutes then reconnect. You may have to do this four or five times to completely reset the bar.

The classic unplug it and plug it back in method. Of course I should have thought of this first. Thanks, totally fixed it!

A couple of days ago the base on the subwoofer got really loud/powerful. I had my small fiberoptic box sitting on it and it was bouncing up and down. Too I was not listening to anything really loud. Somehow it changed onits own. Any suggestions

    Hello,
Welcome to the Polk forum. In all likelihood there is some interference between the subwoofer and the router you have sitting on top of it. Try moving the router as far away as possible from both the soundbar and the sub.

Would it make any difference if I unplugged from the soundbar vs the wall?

    Hello,
Either from the wall outlet or the soundbar itself is fine.
