We went to see the IJ movie yesterday. I thought it was a little long and dragged in a few parts but overall I liked it. I guess I don't have much of a "woke" meter because nothing there bothered me.

My sis and BIL saw it the other day and both enjoyed it for what it is meant to be, an escape for a couple of hours. I think we'll prolly see it this week to beat the heat for a bit.
Yep, my name really is Bob.

I saw it opening day, and it didn't disappoint and actually tied up the long running Indy franchise with a nice bow at the end. Was it one of the best, nope, but it was far better than "Temple of Doom".

  • I saw it last night and it was very unremarkable. It had some cool scenes, but nothing really stuck out as being awesome! For the last movie in the series they should have gone out with a bang.... instead, it was more like a wet sparkler on the 4th of July!

It's a good thing I don't pay anymore to see any of the preachy and lackluster Hollywood movies.

I finally saw it and I really don’t understand the hate. Not the best and not the worst. I enjoyed watching it with my kids and they loved it.

We got about half way in and turned it off, it was terrible.

Look, I’m all for strong female characters. Think Sigourney Weaver in Aliens, Felicity Jones in Rogue One, Renea Russo in The Thomas Crown Affair (1999), etc. HOWEVER, the only way Hollywood seems capable of (or interested in) writing a strong female lead NOW, is to have her denigrate and upstage all the male characters in the film - Rae in the new Star Wars Trilogy, most Marvel female characters, and unfortunately the latest Indiana Jones film. I hope (but I don’t have faith) that Hollywood will get back to writing strong female leads, based on their own merits, and stop with the current trend of belittling all the male leads in order to make the females seem strong…

Totally agree. Another example; I had high expectations for the last Terminator movie with James Cameron back at the helm, but was so disappointed. Talk about running the franchise into the ground just to try and cash in. It's the same thing with this movie and I absolutely refuse to support anything Disney nowadays for obvious reasons. Even if this IJ movie turned out to be a blockbuster, I'd decline on seeing it. Can't say anything more because it might offend someone's delicate sensitivities and we can't have that.
