Are the RT8 drivers 7 inch like the RT16's? Or are they 6 inch like the RT12's? If I remember correctly I use to have the RT12's many years ago and I still have a pair of RT16's chillin in my basement

Pretty sure those RT8s are a single 6.5 inch driver like the RT5 bookies. I had the RT7 bookies with the 7 inch for a couple years and really liked them. I always wanted to hear the RT16s!

When the RT16's where brand new,I really wanted a pair.I went to THE WIZ in New Jersey and I would sit for hours just listening to them. I couldn't afford them at that time so I was waiting for my income tax check to go buy them. So when I got my tax check, I basically flew out the door, and went to THE WIZ. Shockingly the RT16's where discontinued and they sold out on all the ones they had in stock. I was told they where replaced by the new RT line and the speaker I should buy is the RT1000p. They had the RT800's there and I listened to them as they seems more in line with the RT16's but I didn't like them as much. So I purchased the Rt1000p's. Honestly I liked the RT1000p's but always felt cheated.

A few year ago before the Pandemic, I guy near me put up for sale a pair of nice condition RT16's. I jumped on them not because I needed them for any system in my house but because I always wanted to them and so I got them. They sit in my basement, they are connected to my Sonos system I use them as a 2nd pair of speakers in my Gym. I have a Pair of Outdoor speakers mounted to the ceiling, 2 Niles Subwoofers and the RT16's . Each Subwoofer is paired with a Zone of Sonos in that room. I have 2 Zones of Sonos running the Gym. SO the Rt16's don't try to reproduce low Bass, the Subwoofer handles that was well as the Outdoor speakers.
