I have tried everything I can think of, but all of the sudden my sounbar turns all the way up by itself. Help.

Try this:
On the rear of the soundbar below the Wi-Fi light and beside the USB port is a small reset button.
Press and hold down this button for about 15 seconds; you will hear 2 audible 'dings'.
This is your confirmation that the reset has occurred, and the update will take place.
