How to identify whether the display head or am/tuner failed

I have PA4A/PA4ATA system on my boat. It has only been used approximately 8 hours since new and after reorganizing and rerouting wires on the boat the PA4/PA4ATA would not turn on. I found that I had pulled the 12 volt input wire off the accessory power switch it was attached to so I reconnected the 12 volt input wire to the accessory switch and it would not turn on again. I checked power to the unit and confirmed there was 12 volts going to the PA4ATA past the 15 amp fuse. I checked the ground wire to insure the unit was grounded properly and everything check out OK, but still no display. I checked the extension cable between the (2) units and everything seemed fine, with the 4 prongs on the D.I.N. plugs intact. I then took the display head out of it's mount and connected it directly to the amp/tuner without the extension cable, still no display. I think one of the (2) units has failed but don't know how to confirm which one. Are there any resets on these units besides the fuse and, if not, is there any way to confirm which unit has failed. Taking the display head and replacing it is easy but replacing the amp/tuner would be a bit of an issue. Does anyone have any idea to how to figure out which unit, if either, has failed or if there is something I messed in my diagnosis. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer
